Violinist Nancy Jin has a busy musical career as an orchestral player, chamber musician and teacher in the Metropolitan DC area. A native of Fairfax, VA, Ms. Jin currently plays with Virginia Chamber Orchestra, Amadeus Orchestra, National Philharmonic, and frequently performs at the Kennedy Center. She was formally a member of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra (CT) and has also played with the National Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony, Fairfax Symphony and Alexandria Symphony. As a soloist, Ms. Jin performed The Four Seasons by Vivaldi with the Winchester Orchestra. Ms. Jin is a founding member of Virginia Virtuosi.
As a dedicated pedagogue, Ms. Jin is a certified Suzuki teacher and teaches a thriving studio of violin students in Ashburn, VA. Her students regularly participate in District, All-County, Regional and All-State Orchestras as well as place in local music competitions. Voted Best Music Instruction of Ashburn Magazine 2020.
Ms. Jin holds degrees from The Cleveland Institute of Music and Yale University School of Music. Her teachers have included Linda Cerone, Syoko Aki, Vernon Summers as well as members of the Tokyo String Quartet and Miami String Quartet.
